About Me.
For SlimB, music is more than an art form—it is a bloodline, a rebellion against convention, and an expression of individuality. Rooted in Fall River, Massachusetts, his musical identity draws from generations of family tradition while forging a distinctive sound that refuses to be confined by genre.
His musical heritage began with his great-grandparents, John Felix Carney, a guitarist, and Lena Carney, a squeeze-box player, whose passion for music established the foundation of a lasting family legacy.
That tradition flourished through his grandfather, Warren “Buck” Carney, a proud United States military veteran, accomplished musician, and New England Country Music Hall of Fame inductee. Throughout his career, Buck shared stages with legendary country performers, contributing to New England's rich musical heritage. His wife, Barbara Jean Carney, provided unwavering support behind the scenes at celebrated venues such as the Lone Star Ranch, helping sustain a musical tradition that would inspire future generations.
Yet SlimB's artistic identity is not simply defined by the musicians who came before him. It is shaped by his determination to take that inheritance somewhere entirely his own.
At the heart of SlimB's musical identity lies an unconventional fusion of Gothic Americana, Gothic Bluegrass, Gothic Reggae, Delta Blues, and Outlaw Country. These influences form the foundation of a sound that is dark, atmospheric, rhythmically adventurous, and unapologetically original.
Haunting banjo and fiddle arrangements intertwine with gritty blues guitar, deep hypnotic bass lines, swamp-soaked reggae grooves, and the rebellious intensity of outlaw country. Traditional acoustic instrumentation collides with electrified textures, unconventional chord progressions, complex rhythmic breaks, and cinematic arrangements. The result is an immersive musical landscape where Southern Gothic darkness meets the undeniable pulse of roots-driven rhythm.
Rather than following conventional formulas, SlimB approaches songwriting as an exploration of the human condition. Earned several certifications in Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Acquired various professional certifications in Artificial Intelligence through self-study, covering a diverse range of topics from basic to prompting techniques. These certifications include "Introduction to AI," "The Essentials of AI," "Models and Tools," "AI Ethics," along with "Music and Instrumental Prompting," and image and video creation.

Bachelor's Criminal Just and Administration.
I received my bachelor's degree in criminal justice and administration in 2011, graduating at the top of my class for four straight years. Before that, I earned an associate degree in Criminal Justice and Administration.
1997: Graduated
Received sponsorship from a local police department to attend and successfully complete the reserve police academy.
1989 - 1993
Highschool Diploma
I completed my studies at North Middlesex Regional High School in Townsend, Massachusetts, 20 years after my mother graduated from the same school.
Carrer
Retired Law Enforcement
Successfully completed a comprehensive 16-week correctional academy.
Retired law enforcement for the Sheriff's Department. I was responsible for the direct care, custody and control of individuals who were pre-trial detainees and housed individuals who were sentenced. I have come into contact with many people throughout the course of my career and have dealth with individuals who were charged with petty offenses and individuals who were looking at life without the possibility of parole. (Communication and Respect are key to perform these job duties).
I have obtained numerous certifications and qualifications over the years pertaining to law enforcement. Topics that focus on Ethics, local, state, and federal laws, policy and procedures, rules and regulations,
Passed Employment
I have a background in the mental health field, where I supported adults needing assistance from clinical psychologists and Applied Behavioral Analysts. Some of these individuals exhibited extreme violence and severe self-harming behaviors, including property damage.
After retiring, I had the privilege of working at a high school with teenagers facing various life challenges, such as cognitive difficulties, depression, and anxiety. This was one of the most fulfilling experiences of my career.
Additionally, I have worked as a laborer alongside carpenters, electricians, masons, and pipe fitters. I was a foreman for a large landscaping company serving multi-million dollar homes and commercial properties, ran a car wash, and performed tire and oil changes.
This experience helped me build a strong foundation in hard labor before pursuing further education and career advancement. I also possess extensive experience with computer technology, including rebuilding systems, coding, web design, and diagnostics.
